Savings schemes
What it does
11-month gold savings + passbook
The 11-month gold savings scheme is the heart of an Indian jeweller's customer relationship — and the rate-stamped passbook is the trust artefact no national chain offers. Every instalment a customer pays is recorded with the exact published rate it was booked at, in an append-only double-entry ledger where corrections are reversals, never edits.
Compliance is enforced by the database, not by staff memory: scheme tenure is hard-capped at 365 days and cash instalments at ₹15,000. A misconfigured scheme cannot be created, by anyone, on any plan.
Around the core scheme sit the engagement loops that keep customers saving: goal-based targets, streak tracking, automatic round-up savings, gifting an instalment to family, and family accounts that pool progress toward one wedding.
How it works in your store
- Define scheme templates (duration, instalment, bonus policy) — the 365-day/₹15k caps are enforced at creation
- Customers enrol from your app or at the counter; every payment is rate-stamped to that day's snapshot
- The passbook shows each instalment, its booked rate and the accumulated grams to the milligram
- Maturity redemption converts saved value at the counter with the full history attached
- Goal savings, streaks, round-up and gift-an-instalment plug into the same ledger
- A scheme-liability report shows the owner exactly what is owed, at today's rate, at any moment

Questions jewellers ask
Are the schemes compliant with the 365-day rule?
Yes — structurally. The 365-day tenure cap and ₹15,000 instalment ceiling are database constraints. The platform cannot create a non-compliant scheme even if asked to.
Can an entry ever be edited after the fact?
No. The ledger is append-only and double-entry; a mistake is corrected by a reversing entry that itself stays visible. That is what makes the passbook tamper-evident.
What happens at maturity?
The customer redeems at your counter — the full instalment history with booked rates is right there, so the conversion to jewellery is transparent and argument-free.
